
Mr. Fidelis Jonah Usman is a dedicated engineer, entrepreneur, and academic currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tambov State Technical University, where he distinguished himself through academic excellence and professional development.
Fidelis brings a wealth of experience across business, academia, and industry. He is a lead consultant with the Diamond Project and a researcher at the Energy Systems Research Unit (ESRU), University of Strathclyde, where he analyzes data from abandoned oil wells to design efficient energy recovery systems. In addition, he serves as a Teaching Assistant, supporting undergraduate learning through tutorials and assessments.
Previously, Fidelis lectured at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, and served as Head Engineer at Fursa Tech and Industry, where he led production operations, research and development, and process design. His leadership at Fursa Tech resulted in the production of £2 million worth of recycled rubber products and implemented systems that generated £1 million in profits.
As an entrepreneur and innovator, Fidelis has consistently demonstrated the ability to optimize processes, drive profitability, and foster sustainable solutions. Skilled in engineering tools such as ANSYS, AutoCAD, and Matlab, he combines technical expertise with strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
